Travel to Cologne
Cologne - known in German as "Köln" and in local German "Kölle" - is Germany's fourth biggest metropolis located in Western Germany north of Bonn, the former federal capital. The river Rhine separates the town into a western (left of the Rhine including the old town and Cologne Cathedral) and eastern (right of the Rhine) part.
Cologne is easily accessible via car, train, and airplane:
Highway A3 to the interchange Cologne East ("Autobahnkreuz Köln-Ost") (27) via B55A towards downtown Cologne and Cologne Deutz ("Köln-Zentrum, -Deutz")
By public transportation systems
We highly recommend to use the local public transportation system to get to our event (October 4) as parts of downtown Cologne will already be closed on Saturday. Please make use of the P+R stations from where you have easy access with your VRS online ticket to the starting area in Deutz.
On your bib number you will find an additional ticket for an accompanying adult and two children (till the age of 11) for using trams and busses within the entire VRS area on race day.
